Barack Ferrazzano proudly sponsored the 2018 CITRS Open. Due to weather conditions the golf portion of the celebration was rescheduled, turning the open into a two-day event. The main dinner and reception took place on Tuesday, September 11, at the Philadelphia Country Club. Golf and festivities were held at the same location on Wednesday, September 19. Attendees gathered to present the Character Achievement Award to president and CEO of Character.org, Doug Karr, in recognition of his mission to provide leadership and advocacy for character worldwide. The event also celebrated CITRS’ work over the last year, as well as new exciting opportunities for growth and impact in the coming year.
On Tuesday, guests enjoyed cocktails, a silent auction, dinner and an energetic flash mob of students, teachers, CITRS staff and committee members. Wednesday, guests lunched on the pavilion and were entertained by a living statue of a turn-of-the-century golfer, a helicopter ball drop of nearly 500 golf balls and a spirited game of golf.
CITRS covered all costs of the event allowing for 100% of sponsorships and donations to go towards the development and implementation of programs designed to benefit underprivileged youth in schools and after-school programs. Additionally, all sponsorships and donations were matched, dollar for dollar.
