Join Barack Ferrazzano Financial Institutions Group Partner and Regulatory Section Leader John Geiringer for Countering the Financing of Terrorism: Law & Policy. This seminar addresses the laws and policies surrounding counter-terrorist financing, including terrorist financing tactics, the role and responsibilities of the financial industry and applicable law enforcement authorities.
John, who helped organize the seminar, will be leading a session titled, “The Role of the Private Sector in Preventing Terrorism Financing,” which focuses on the requirements of the financial services industry to counter the financing of terrorism, including those surrounding customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, suspicious activity reporting, and economic sanctions.
