Barack Ferrazzano partner Rob Shapiro was featured on Fox 32's morning broadcast where he discussed the upcoming presidential farewell address scheduled for the evening of January 10. When asked his opinion of the tenor of the upcoming speech, Rob stated President Obama is not so much saying good-bye as looking to the future. He will probably rely heavily on historical parallels to George Washington whose farewell speech was a look to the future.
Rob also feels the speech will be emotional, as was Washington's, especially when he spoke of the great honor it had been to serve his country and invest in its future. These are the very ideas Rob believes are the foundation of the speech to be broadcast this evening.
