We are pleased to announce that Alexander F. Berk will participate in National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ)’s 2024 Next Generation (NextGen) Program which will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Seattle, Washington. The NCBJ invited participants who demonstrated a commitment to the educational development of bankruptcy professionals and to professional activities that benefit the public, the bankruptcy bar, and the court system. Alex's excellent reputation and hard work earned him a selection among some distinguished individuals.

Alex is an exceptional attorney with myriad experience in commercial insolvency and bankruptcy practice. He also dedicates considerable time and effort to charitable and educational endeavors that enhance our local legal community and bar. As such, Alex is a perfect participant for the NextGen Program. With experience representing both debtors and creditors of all sizes, Alex helps clients successfully navigate restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters both in and outside of court. Alex is smart, personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients. He has experience in many key aspects of business reorganizations, workouts, and bankruptcies. Alex represents secured and unsecured lenders, vendors, landlords, other creditors, and debtors in litigation and transactional matters in bankruptcy cases. For these myriad representations, Alex has negotiated and drafted Chapter 11 plans of reorganization and liquidation, restructuring support agreements, plan support agreements, bid procedures, sale orders, debtor-in-possession financing documents, and settlement agreements.

About the NCBJ's NextGen Program

The NextGen Program annually recognizes participants who have been practicing bankruptcy law for a maximum of ten years and meet stringent qualification criteria, including a demonstrated commitment to the utmost civility, ethics, and professionalism, as well as a focus on the educational development of bankruptcy professionals and the continued growth of the bankruptcy bar and the court system. NextGen attendees will participate in an exclusive Judicial Roundtable program and have the opportunity to network and socialize with their 2024 classmates and NextGen alumni.
