Overview
Elizabeth’s area of concentration centers on intellectual property matters. After working in the IP field for nearly 20 years, she brings extensive experience assisting the Intellectual Property team in counseling clients relating to domestic and international trademark, copyright and design patent matters.
Her substantial experience encompasses trademark clearance work, including conducting U.S. and foreign preliminary searches and coordinating and directing full availability searches in multiple jurisdictions, analyzing trademark search results, preparing and filing trademark and copyright applications in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. She also assists clients by providing guidance on product marketing and brand strategy. Elizabeth has managed significant global IP portfolios for large clients ranging from initial product conception, knock out searching, and through to maintenance.
Elizabeth also currently assists with overseeing and handling the IP Department’s Design patent practice. She has considerable knowledge with reviewing and assessing patent portfolios clients. She has spent many years preparing design patent applications and formal drawings for both domestic and international clients. She is able to assist with every aspect of design patent practice from the initial disclosures to preparation of the application and related documents such as the application data sheet, inventor declarations and assignments, to responding to office actions, and finally through granting of the issued patent.
