Overview

Sydney concentrates her practice on employment litigation with a detail-oriented and client-centric approach to helping clients mitigate risk and achieve favorable outcomes.

As an associate in BFKN’s Employment and Litigation Groups, Sydney assists clients across a wide array of industries, including technology, financial services, and private equity, with navigating complex litigation matters. She drafts and files motions, prepares witnesses for depositions and trial, and conducts extensive legal research to support case strategies. Her experience includes navigating complex procedural and substantive legal issues.

Prior to joining BFKN, Sydney served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Virginia Kendall of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where she drafted judicial opinions on employment discrimination, breach of contract, and fiduciary duty cases. Before that, Sydney was a litigation associate at Winston & Strawn, where she focused on written advocacy and discovery in complex commercial litigation, defamation, and product liability/mass tort cases.
