Judicial Clerk - Litigation Associate: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
We are seeking a judicial clerk to join as an associate in our commercial litigation practice in the fall of 2025. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of academic achievement, excellent interpersonal skills, diverse perspectives, and a high level of maturity.
Hiring Considerations:
- Comfortable handling high-profile matters across a broad range of commercial litigation matters and industries.
- Represent clients in federal and state trial-level and appellate courts, before administrative tribunals, and in arbitrations, mediations, and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Candidates must have strong research, writing, and analytical skills and the ability to take ownership of their matters and to provide immediate value to their case teams.
- Deposition and oral argument experience is a plus.
Litigation Associate: Minneapolis Area, MN (Hybrid)
We are seeking an associate to join our commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate would have 1-4 years of litigation experience at a top law firm, with judicial clerkship experience a plus, and have graduated from a top law school. A license to practice law in Minnesota is required. Licensure in Illinois or a willingness to get licensed in Illinois is a plus.
Hiring Considerations:
- Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters.
- Represent clients in federal and state trial-level and appellate courts, before administrative tribunals, and in arbitrations, mediations, and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Candidates must have strong research, writing, and analytical skills and the ability to take ownership of their matters and to provide immediate value to their case teams.
- Must have a strong desire to appear in court, take depositions, and interact with clients.
Real Estate Associate: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
We are seeking a senior associate or a junior partner to join our real estate practice. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of real estate experience at a large law firm, boutique real estate practice, or in-house.
Hiring Considerations:
- Candidates should have substantial experience in handling complex commercial real estate transactions in a strong practice group. If available, please furnish a typical “representative transactions” list for each interested candidate.
- Candidates may have experience that is focused on a particular component of the commercial real estate industry (e.g., industrial, retail, multi-family, etc.) or have worked on transactions involving a variety of asset types.
- Candidates should have strong substantive skills in real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, and leasing. Other skills and experience (e.g., development and construction, asset management, and joint venture work) are a plus.
- Candidates should be team-oriented and motivated to thrive within our practice group and firm.
Corporate Associate: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
We are seeking an associate to join our corporate and securities practice. The ideal candidate would have 2–5 years of significant experience in corporate transactions with an emphasis on M&A and private equity. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of high academic achievement, excellent interpersonal skills, diverse perspectives, and a high level of maturity.
Hiring Considerations:
- Handle corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and other general business matters.
- Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of some or all of:
- Acquisition agreements and other documentations used in complex M&A and private equity transactions; and
- Venture capital investment transactions and associated NVCA template agreements.
- Candidates should be comfortable representing clients in a range of industries and providing general counseling across a variety of issues, whether transactional or non-transactional.
