The BFKN Foundation recently spearheaded a virtual and in-person food drive benefiting Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry). The firm greatly exceeded the Foundation’s original goal of $5,000 within the first two days and went on to raise a total of $29,535, including a $10,000 match from the Foundation.

Nourishing Hope is thrilled with the impact made by the drive and declared it the most successful virtual food drive that has ever been hosted for their organization in terms of dollars raised. The contributions help provide 227,000 meals for Chicagoans across the city as well as support free mental health counseling services and other social services offered by Nourishing Hope.

Nourishing Hope has been working to expand their mission to provide mental wellness and social services to their clients as well as advocacy for raising awareness of hunger and poverty. Formerly Lakeview Pantry, the organization recently changed its name to Nourishing Hope and opened a new centrally located headquarters as they continue to serve more people in a time of heightened food insecurity.
